Smith was so engrossed with the game he did not notice a snake on the walkway. Unfortunately for the teen who was wearing flip-flops, he stepped on the snake, which is believed to be a copperhead and was bitten.<\/p>\n

The bite was not life threatening as the doctors determined Smith did not need anti-venom and was released the same afternoon.<\/p>\n
